Translators
TLDR: Translators are responsible for translating, organizing, and sharing official Umee content with the community members who need it. Translators must apply for a translation and be approved before completing it.
To get started as an translator:
- Visit the #start-here channel in the "Community DAO" section of Umee's Discord;
- Assign yourself the "CD Contributor" role and "CD Translator" role;
- Check the #cd-announcements and #translations-rfc channels to see which translations the CD Committee is looking for;
- Apply for the translation through Dework;
- Use this form to submit each native translation completed.
Overview
Use the translation lists provided on Dework to apply for a translation task. Provide previous translations you've completed to help expedite the application process. Once approved, translate, organize, and share Umee content with the users who need it.
Translations are the only Community DAO task which contributors must apply for before submitting work.

Criteria
- Amount of value the contribution has brought or is expected to bring to Umee;
- Clarity of contributions on the submission form;
- Accuracy - only native translations will be rewarded;
- Translator reputation - translators’ previous work and reputation among the community is heavily accounted for;
- Relevance of content - user guides, documentation and the most recent blog posts are most important;
- Organization and presentation.
